Our longest safari begins at Trompica Viewpoint. Very few people know the site of St. Paul, and even less know about the founts. This is where the highest altitude housing project on the island is located. Very frequently cattle are found grazing quietly in the mountains and even walking down the road. There will be a stop at this viewpoint to be able to relax and take excellent pictures.
The Paul da Serra is the largest and most extensive plateau of Madeira with about 24 square kilometres, with an average altitude of about 1500 meters. Its highest point is Pico Ruivo do Paul, with 1640 meters, from where the length of the entire plateau can be admired. On a clear day, the sea of south and north coast can be observed.
Cabo Girão is located in Madeira Island, west of Funchal. It’s an almost vertical promontory with 589 m of height, offering a magnificent view to the sea, to Câmara de Lobos and to Funchal, reason why it is a popular place to visit. Cabo Girão is, at least, the seventh highest cape in Europe.
